Mid-life crisis
People on Russian internet are discussing mid-life crisis right now. The story that opened that discussion was that a man went to work, and when he got back home his wife and his daughter have disappeared. The other things that disappeared were a chandelier, a piano, and their savings account. The wife never told him that she was unhappy. So now his burning question is “Can a mid-life crisis change people on a whim?”

i've known some people to go through some mighty strange things that i considered 'mid-life-crisis'... don't know about a missing wife, though... THAT may be a bit extreme.
fancy hot-rod cars, a new boat or shaving a head are all more or less considered the 'norm'.
but, what about this story i read online the other day:
"Well, here's how things worked out for me. Married 25 years, took a look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 25 years ago, we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10 inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25 year old blond. Now, we have a nice house, nice car, big bed and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 50 year old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of things."
"My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 25 year old blond, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed.... Now, that'll bring you right back down to reality and make you forget your desire of a mid-life crisis, huh?"

That is an awesome story! It's just I hear a lot about men having a mid-life crisis, not women for some reason... Maybe a woman's mid-life crisis is just a menopause...
